A green gin cocktail is like a four-leaf clover; hard to find and lucky to have!

We may not be in Ireland, but you know what they say – ‘Everybody is Irish on St Patrick’s Day’! That’s why Cape Town Gin & Spirits Company is joining the celebrations in the good ol’ Irish spirit by sharing a delicious green cocktail recipe for everyone to make the most of this lucky holiday.

So, get your leprechaun tights and your pot of gold and try out this cocktail!

Basil Smash

Ingredients

• 50ml Cape Town Classic Dry Gin
• 15ml lemon juice
• 10ml simple syrup (or basil syrup)
• Clover for garnish

Instructions

Muddle the basil leaves in the base of the shaker before you add the rest of the ingredients and ice. Shake well for 15 – 20 seconds and strain into a tall glass with ice. Garnish with clovers and enjoy!
